Pocket Digital Cameras and December Holiday Party

Los Angeles Computer Society December General Meeting 7 P. M. Tuesday, December 11, 2001,Fellowship Hall, 8065 Emerson Ave. Los Angeles 90045

LACS will celebrate the season with a holiday party at which our many volunteer workers will be recognized and rewarded. It's a chance for us to relax and socialize and wind up the year on a friendly note.

There will also be a speaker.

John Xin (representative for QuickPix digital cameras), will present the QP2 Digital Pocket Camera and the new 1.3 Megapixel QP3 Digital Snapshot Camera. The Digital Imaging SIG. saw these Nov. 26. Needed cables and several well-known imaging software programs are provided with the cameras.

The presentation is very interesting and shows the capabilities of the cameras and how easy they are to use.

Still thinking about holiday gifts? There will be an opportunity to buy these at "user group" prices.

Visitors are welcome. Bring a few friends.

January 2002 - Microsoft WINDOWS XP.

Los Angeles Computer Society January General Meeting 7 P. M. Tuesday, January 8, 2002, Fellowship Hall, 8065 Emerson Ave. Los Angeles 90045

Now it's our turn to learn the benefits of WINDOWS XP. There has been a lot of controversy and confusion since WIN XP has been introduced. Such questions as: "Should I upgrade from my existing WIN 98/Me or should I do a fresh full install"? What must I do when I install a new hard drive? What about my games and other programs? Will WIN XP run them? Come and see the features of WINDOWS XP, ask your questions of Microsoft representative Dana Berkoski. Dana will probably also have a few other Microsoft items to show. An interesting evening is in store.

The beginners computer forums will start at 6:00 PM.
The General Meeting starts at 7:00 PM.

Visitors are welcome. Bring a few friends.
