Bill James

In October 2017, Microsoft introduced the fourth major update of Windows 10, the Fall Creators Update. It includes fun, new ways to get creative. You can tell your story like never before using photos, videos, and 3D effects. It also provides enhancements in gaming, security, accessibility, and immersive new experiences using Windows Mixed Reality. Windows Defender defends better with cloud intelligence defending against ransomware and exploits. Mr. James will demonstrate and discuss these changes and more.

Bill is an expert on Windows updates because he is a long-time member of Microsoft’s Insider Program. Those in it are some of the first to experience the new ideas and concepts Microsoft is building. In return, MS wants to know what program members think to guide Microsoft when introducing new builds.

Bill first joined a PC User’s Group now known as the Computer Club of Oklahoma City in 1992 to learn more about the computer he had purchased. He joined its Board of Directors, served as President for two terms and is now its Vice President. He often gives presentations on new software to his club and other PC User Groups. He is also an active as an APCUG leader and in Toastmasters.
